HOW TO MAKE MONEY IN ACM3

Turn spare cups into more experiments without spending the last coin. The controlled loop is make, keep, list, observe, and reinvest.

ACM3 v0.1SPOILER LIGHTUPDATED OCT 10, 2026

Quick answer

Spend a coin at the Coffee Machine → collect the cup → keep it in Inventory → return to Horu's room → open Computer → Shop → list the cup → retain enough money for the next experiment.

Check the two screens before listing

First confirm the cup is in Inventory, then return to Horu's Computer and open Shop. The screenshots show the exact interface landmarks; they are not evidence that any price is guaranteed to sell.

2 · Check Inventory A finished cup is usable only after you take it from the dispenser and see it here.

3 · Choose the next screen Shop is on Horu's Computer; the Gallery is also reached from this menu.

The repeatable selling route

  1. Protect your next coin. Do not spend the full balance on untested words.
  2. Create a recognized cup. Start with a known input such as milk or coffee.
  3. Collect it into Inventory. A cup cannot be listed after it is drunk or given away.
  4. Return to Horu's apartment. The selling interface is on the Computer.
  5. Open Computer → Shop. Select the stored cup and enter a listing price.
  6. Wait and observe. Price and demand may change between builds.
  7. Reinvest carefully. Use sale proceeds while keeping a reserve.

How to test a selling price

Change one variable at a time. List the same cup at one price, note how long it remains available, then repeat with another copy. A high price can tie up inventory; a lower one can reduce profit per cup.

What the recorded v0.1 price tests show

TEST LISTINGOBSERVED RESULTHOW TO USE IT
Milk at $4Sold in the recorded browser test.A modest first listing to learn the Shop flow.
Coffee at $8Sold in the recorded browser test.Compare it with a fresh copy at another price.
Coffee at $30Still unsold during the observed test period.Keep another cup or coin available instead of tying up all stock.

These are observations from a v0.1 session, not guaranteed prices for every cup or later build. Confirm the stock count and money after each sale before changing another variable.

A practical first-sale plan

  1. Brew a known cup such as milk. The machine charges $1 for the cup.
  2. Collect it from the dispenser. Leaving before collection spends the dollar without adding a cup to Inventory.
  3. Return home and list that stored cup in Computer → Shop at a modest test price.
  4. Keep at least enough money or another sellable cup for the next attempt while waiting for the listing to sell.
  5. After the sale, compare another copy of the same drink at a different price. Change only the price so you can judge the difference.

Avoid universal price claims. ACM3 is in development. A price observed in one build is not guaranteed after an update.

Why a cup cannot be sold

  • The cup was used on Horu or given to a Neighbor.
  • The result was not collected from the dispenser.
  • You are looking for Shop at the machine instead of Horu's Computer.
  • Every coin was spent before another sellable cup could be made.
  • The listed item has not sold yet and still occupies stock.

What to sell next

Use the coffee word finder to separate forms from ingredients. A Mixer result costs at least two ingredient cups and more preparation time, so compare it with a simple cup before deciding which route is efficient.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS — ACM3 MONEY

01How do I make money in Anomalous Coffee Machine 3?

Return to the apartment, open Computer → Shop, and list an unused cup from Inventory. A listed drink needs a price and time to attract a buyer, so treat early listings as tests and keep enough money in reserve to brew another cup while you wait.

02What prices actually sold in the recorded v0.1 tests?

Milk at $4 and Coffee at $8 sold, while Coffee at $30 stayed unsold during the observed period. These are observations from a specific build, not a universal rule — public builds can change pricing and sale behaviour, so compare a modest test against a higher one yourself.

03Why does my cup not sell?

Check the two screens before blaming the price. First, the cup must have been collected from the dispenser and still be in Inventory. Second, it must be listed through Computer → Shop and not already consumed. An uncollected cup costs the $1 listing because you are listing an empty slot.

04Can I sell the cups I need for recipes?

Not without losing the route. A cup has one job: a cup you sell is no longer available for a transformation or a recipe. Keep recipe ingredients and scene cups out of the Shop and list spares instead.

05How much money should I keep in reserve?

Keep enough to brew again. A high listing price can delay the next experiment, and if you list every stored cup at once you can end up with no spare funds and no cup to sell. List one spare cup, wait for the result, then decide the next test.
