OVERD0SE is a mature psychological horror visual novel by HoruBrain. It opens with you waking in a hospital you have no memory of arriving at, and a doctor who behaves as though your case has been running for some time.
That is the whole hook: the doctor knows more about you than he plausibly could. The game is about working out whether that means he is treating you, studying you or something else entirely, and it keeps the romance and the horror running in the same conversations.
WHAT TO EXPECT
It is played as a dialogue-led visual novel — you read scenes and make choices, and the tension comes from how the doctor reacts to each one. There is no combat and no navigation puzzle, so the writing carries the entire experience.
